As the sun rose this morning my sweet soulmate lay next to me breathing heavily, her eyes fixed on me softly, swollen with tears. I turned the light on and talked to her for a bit. I held her hand then held her head close to my chest. I rocked her for a bit then talked to her again. I could tell she was listening. Chele’s breathing slowed. I cried with her for a long time afterward. This has been a long emotional journey these past 16 months. Even just the past 2 months since I quit writing updates to everyone have been extremely difficult for both of us.
Michelle was fortunate to not feel any pain the entire cancer journey. She stayed relatively happy given the circumstances. She will be remembered for her kind, loving and giving heart. There are not many small cell carcinoma patients fortunate to have lived a journey for as long as she did. We will miss you Chele.
We will celebrate her life sometime in the near future here at the Luck Ranch. I will share those details as they become clearer.
I would ask that you respect my privacy for now and not post anything publicly to Facebook or other social media sites. Once I have posted something to Facebook then feel free to pay tribute if you so desire at that time. Thank you for understanding.
